Bulls have always been known as the sign of strength, vitality and vigor. I grew up on a farm with a guard bull. I have scary and fun memories of hide and seek. Sometimes, the things that you are scared of are also the things you are attracted to- the morbid attraction. That is the story with the Bull drawings.
I identify with the bull for its testosterone fuelled energy and the rawness. The brushstrokes in this painting are rough and full of energy, similar to the bulls nature. I aim to make a life sized bull drawing in charcoal.
