Bulls have always been known as the sign of strength, vitality and vigour. I grew up on a  farm with a guard bull, and I have many scary memories of hide and seek. Sometimes, the things that you are scared of are also the things you are attracted to. That is the story with the Bull drawings. I identify with the bull for its testosterone fuelled energy and the rawness. Charcoal is the perfect medium for bull drawings.

A common misconception widely repeated in depictions of bull behavior is that the colour red angers bulls, inciting them to charge. In fact, like most mammals, cattle are red-green color blind. In bullfighting, it is the movement of the matador's cape, and not the colour, which provokes a reaction in the bull.
