There is something magical about trees; the permanence of their existence, the lofty hopeful branches reaching towards the sky, the steadfastness of how trees root into the ground and the way they swing flexibly in strong winds to survive. There are a few life lessons there.
There was a french artist who used to sit and have conversations with trees for hours. She was lonely.
This particular tree is on the beach in Newborough, North Wales. This vagabond of a seagull was hovering around this tree, and it caught my attention on my way back from the beach. I just loved the contrast of the blue summer sky with the way light is reflected off the surface of the this leafless tree.
